Lakewood’s Orthopaedic Services have received Advanced Certification by The Joint Commission for Total Joint Replacement-Knees and Hips, and Certification for Total Joint Replacement-Shoulders.
Dr. Cil specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery, seeing patients for shoulder and elbow disorders, including sports injuries; shoulder and elbow replacement; rotator cuff surgery; arthroscopic surgery of shoulder and elbow; complex and revision surgery of the shoulder and elbow; shoulder and elbow fractures.

Dr. Scott R. Luallin specializes in sports injury treatment, joint replacement, and general orthopaedics. Dr. Luallin also serves as the Team Physician and Chief Medical Officer for Kansas City’s Major League Soccer team, Sporting KC. He was previously in private practice in the Kansas City area and recently joined Lakewood Orthopaedics.

Dr. Thomas McCormack has a special interest in personalized total knee replacements, total hip replacements, and unicompartmental (partial) knee replacements.
Dr. McCormack utilizes state of the art implants for total knee and hip replacements, which allow for a more accurate, individualized fit, and greater comfort. A specialized team provides support for each joint replacement patient, prior to surgery and after, maximizing the opportunity for a quick recovery.
The partial knee replacement is a minimally invasive knee surgery, which is often the procedure of choice for a highly active lifestyle patient who wishes to have more mobility on a long-term basis.

Dr. Christopher M. Shaw specializes in sports injury treatment for all types of sports injuries, and is specially trained in hip preservation surgery and knee ligament reconstruction with minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques. He incorporates many orthobiologic techniques in his practice including PRP and Stem cell therapies.

The specialty of Physical Medicine offers interventional or non-surgical pain management for patients who have joint or muscular pain as a result of sports injury, pregnancy or other conditions. Our physical medicine specialist works collaboratively with the orthopaedic and sports medicine teams to assess and manage new patients toward best outcomes. Treatments may include injections of painful joints, spinal injections, PRP and regenerative medicine.
Dr. Alicia Hillman specializes in Physical Medicine, and works with the entire Orthopaedic team to manage initial assessments and non-surgical treatments for orthopaedic and sports medicine patients.
Dr. Hillman has recently relocated her practice from Leawood, Kansas to TMC Lakewood.
